I have had a good number of emails and parents tell me they frustrated with the school and its unwillingness to stop a bullying issue.  I have had at least four in the last month, parents, with children who have severe ADHD and aspergers, who are being expelled and punished because they are finally lashing out at bullies who know how to work the system.  I believe in working on problems.  I also believe in doing something that shines the light.  If you can get your students to video or audio tape his entire day you will have a record of what is happening.  One that may open up some eyes.  Sometimes even your eyes. Remember a couple things. 1. You may find out your student is the problem.  2. You must dial down the drama.  Anything you find on the tape must be brought to the schools attention with calm and even some answers.  And remember most important if your child is truly scared and failing because of bullying and the school will not recongize it.  CHANGE SCHOOLS OR HOME SCHOOL.  Sometimes the battle is not worth your child's welfare.  Lastly, remember the laws on this are not specific, but you can in general tape anything in public because their is no expectation of privacy.  I do not get a cut of these products beyond the associates fee of 4% from amazon.com.
